Benita Dukalskis

It was a shock when I heard that Benita had died. She had been in Huddersfield General Infirmary, in West Yorkshire, for weeks without a diagnosis. She was on a drip because she was unable to eat and, of course, visitors were not allowed at the hospital. Finally, I heard that she had died of pancreatic cancer.

In life, she worked as a community pharmacist. Her friends will remember her as having an interest in Latvian and French culture.
