Tribute to Andrew Stephen Clargo

Andrew qualified from Manchester in 1986 and spent his early years working in community pharmacy in that area. He moved from there to Nuneaton and then on to Devon where it was my privilege to meet him some 15 years ago.

Andrew was quite an exceptional pharmacist and would always go the extra mile for patients, nothing was too much trouble. He would always treat the most difficult of patients with care and compassion — he was the consummate professional.

Andrew was loved and respected by all who knew him patients, colleagues and friends alike. The staff that worked with him over the years learnt much from him to help with their career development, a testament to his patience and his willingness to train and mentor his colleagues.

I am very proud of our profession — and it is pharmacists like Andrew who justify that pride. He will be missed but never forgotten and my heartfelt sympathy goes to Kate, who he loved so much, and the boys of whom he was so proud.
