Upcoming webinar explains how to switch to clinical academia

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has teamed up with the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), which funds applied health research in the UK, to run a webinar entitled ‘NIHR training and career development opportunities for pharmacy professionals’.

Taking place at 11.00am on 27 April 2017, the webinar is aimed at pharmacists and pharmacy technicians interested in a clinical academic career. It will give an overview of NIHR funding opportunities available to pharmacy professionals who wish to train for a clinical academic career. The webinar will also explain the full range of RPS research support that is available, which includes guidance, one-to-ones and advisory services.

The webinar will be led by Mahendra Patel, a member of the RPS English Pharmacy Board member,  together with Mal Palin, senior programme manager at NIHR Trainees Coordinating Centre.
