Wednesday 14/Thursday 15 January: London

A Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) event, ‘Developing a research funding application: training for novice research pharmacists’. RPS Headquarters, 1 Lambeth High Street, London SE1 7JN. Two-day event on 14–15 January 2015, 9am–5pm each day. Optional third day module on 5 March 2015. Book via the RPS website.

Research is core to a pharmacy professional’s practice. In order to provide better and evolving services, research-aware pharmacists need to undertake relevant, quality research based on current NHS needs and priorities.

The RPS research team has developed a short course which provides grounding in the skills required to design a successful research funding application. It focuses on:

  • Writing and refining aims and objectives and research questions
  • Choosing methods, populations and samples
  • Data processing and analysis
  • Ethical and governance considerations
  • Applying for funding
