Pick the perfect painkiller

13 September 2014: The Daily Mail featured an article called ‘Pick the perfect painkiller’. It looked at paracetamol, ibuprofen, pain-relieving gels and other products. Speaking about paracetamol and the benefits of it for muscular pain such as sprains, strains and ligament pain, Royal Pharmaceutical Society spokesman Sid Dajani said: “Many people — particularly men — believe ibuprofen is more powerful, but there’s no evidence to support this, and paracetamol is much kinder to your body. Paracetamol doesn’t damage the gut lining, as ibuprofen does, and should always be the first line of attack.”
