RPS concern over melatonin to prevent jet lag
8 May 2017: The Daily Mail published a feature in which 21 doctors were asked which medications they take with them on holiday. One doctor advocated the use of melatonin for prevention of jet lag.
Commenting on behalf of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), Neal Patel, head of corporate communications, said in response: “I’d be concerned about people buying melatonin without advice and also making sure it’s suitable and safe.”
