The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has confirmed that its second revalidation training day will be held on 14 September 2018 at the Society’s London headquarters.

‘Revalidation ready: Preparing for Submission’ will explain the processes of peer discussion, reflective accounts and submission. During the course of the day, delegates will complete their first continuing professional development (CPD) entry, and the RPS revalidation app, MyCPD, will be demonstrated.

As at the first event on 13 July 2018, Mark Voce, director of education and standards at the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), will be on hand to explain what pharmacy professionals need to do now, and in the coming year, to meet revalidation requirements.

At the first event, 97% of the 50 delegates said they would recommend the event.

“I have now exported my CPDs from RPS MyCPD app and entered them on the GPhC website,” said Maria Kouimtzi, clinical editorial manager at Capita Healthcare Decisions, who attended the first event.

“The day couldn’t have met my learning objectives any more,” she added.

Atia Aslam, an oncology pharmacist, said that she’d “learnt lots” from the day and was now feeding the information back to her colleagues.

Tickets for the one-day event are £65 to members and £120 to non-members and pharmacy technicians. Places may be reserved through the RPS website.
