Woman’s Own

26 May 2014 — As part of Woman’s Own “Health dilemas solved” Ash Soni, English Pharmacy Board vice-chairman, was asked when you should stop taking a medicine. Soni said: “If any drug is making you feel unwell, then you should consider changing it — but never stop taking a medicine without asking advice. Symptoms might only be temporary. Blood pressure tablets are a good example of this. Many people stop taking them after a few days as they can make you feel giddy, so you feel worse than before. But the symptoms will stop as your blood pressure normalises. Untreated high blood pressure won’t, however, disappear.”
