Grants worth a total of £300,000 a year to fund research into the potential of pharmacy to help patients and boost public health has been announced by the charity Pharmacy Research UK (PRUK).
Pharmacists or pharmacy organisations have until 26 September 2016 to apply for a maximum £100,000 PRUK project grant to fund a two-year research project.
Priority will be given to research which focuses on modern day access to medicines, medicines optimisation and pharmaceutical care, the roles and competencies of pharmacy, technicians, the patient/professional experience and understanding pharmacy and the contribution of pharmacy to public health.
Although projects outside these priority subjects will still be considered, research must be UK based.
There is a two-stage application process and the successful applicants will be announced in June 2017.
